In my practice, we use several different types of devices, cards, aids and props to help improve the speech of autistic children. Over the years, I have found that visual aids work extremely well to improve speech and help with expressive and receptive language issues in autistic children.
Parents who have children that are autistic and have have a limited vocabulary should know that there are plenty of tools available to them and their children. Many of the tools, like these cards, are inexpensive, easy to use and can be used anywhere.
If you are a parent in the Licking County OH area and have a child with autism that is struggling with speech, come in and see me today. I can put together a program for you and your child that will help them speak and understand speech better.
